St. Michael’s Episcopal School seeks a qualified part-time Lower School (grades 2-5) Spanish teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year. This is a ten-month position beginning in July.

The successful candidate will have…
excellent verbal and written skills and ability to communicate with students, parents, and colleagues;
a minimum of 3 years of experience teaching (preferably in a K-5 setting) Spanish; and
a bachelor’s degree in education, Spanish, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred, though not required.
The ideal candidate will have…
native or near-native fluency in Spanish;
extensive first-hand knowledge of, and experience in, Spanish-speaking countries or cultures;
the ability to teach across the K-5 curriculum;
demonstrated kindness, enthusiasm, a sense of humor, investment in continued learning and professional growth, and a passion for supporting children as they grow and learn;
dedicated to cultivating an inclusive environment and support a school community grounded in empathy, social responsibility, and an appreciation and respect for individual differences;
employed effective classroom cooperatively with colleagues on a consistent basis;
used a variety of instructional strategies and assessment methods to meet the cognitive and affective needs of all students;
integrated technology effectively into student learning;
demonstrated kindness, enthusiasm, a sense of humor, investment in continued learning and professional growth, and management skills;
maintained accurate and timely documentation of grades, behavior, academic concerns, and parent communication
