Miller School of Albemarle seeks an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Latin teacher for a part-time position on our faculty for the 2025-26 school year. The position would entail teaching one to two Latin classes per semester and requires the flexibility to teach Latin 1 through 4. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with high school students and a willingness to teach a variety of grade levels and courses. A candidate should demonstrate a desire to work as a team player and take on an active role in the vibrant Miller School community. A candidate should be inspired by the mission of Miller School and embrace the opportunity to serve as an example of our “mind, hands, and heart” philosophy for our students..
The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Latin or Classics; a graduate degree is a plus but not required.
- Experience teaching or tutoring all levels of Latin.
- A passion for working with young people, coupled with a commitment to meeting the needs of diverse learners.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
The starting date for this position is August 2025.
