Miller School of Albemarle seeks an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Latin teacher to join our faculty for the 2025-26 school year. The position requires the flexibility to teach all levels of Latin, including AP Latin. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with high school students and a willingness to teach a variety of grade levels and courses. A candidate should demonstrate a desire to work as a team player and take on an active role in the vibrant Miller School community. A candidate should be inspired by the mission of Miller School and embrace the opportunity to serve as an example of our “mind, hands, and heart” philosophy for our students.. 

The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Latin or Classics; a graduate degree is a plus but not required.
• Experience teaching all levels of
• A passion for working with young people, coupled with a commitment to meeting the needs of diverse learners.
• Relevant athletic or co-curricular experience that will contribute meaningfully to MSA’s after-school programming.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Outside the classroom, the position includes 2 seasons of coaching a sport or leading an afternoon co-curricular activity, acting as an advisor to a group of 8-9 students, and serving on a supervisory duty team.

The starting date for this position is August 2025. This is a full-time position, with healthcare and retirement plan benefits.
