The Covenant School, an independent Christian Liberal Arts & Sciences school in Charlottesville, Virginia, is seeking dedicated and dynamic educators to join our Lower School faculty for the 2025-26 school year. Our school, which serves over 750 students from Pre-K through Grade 12, is a gospel-centered community of faith and learning, rooted in the Western Liberal Arts tradition, focused on the formation of the whole person—mind, body, and soul. Our faculty leads with an incarnational approach that seeks to equip and inspire students to live well through service to God and others.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will be committed to the holistic formation of children within a Christian Liberal Arts & Sciences curriculum, integrating faith and academic rigor seamlessly into the classroom experience. Candidates must have the ability to inspire students’ love of learning and critical thinking and foster a joy-filled environment in which students encounter the goodness, truth, and beauty of God’s creation.
We are accepting applications for classroom teachers at all grade levels K-5. We have three sections of students at each grade level, and so candidates must be able to work collaboratively with their grade level team.
Qualifications:
1–2 years of teaching experience (preferred)
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (required)
Teaching certification
Strong ability to integrate their Christian faith authentically in the context of their teaching
