Alexandria Country Day School seeks a full-time Seventh and Eighth-Grade Language Arts teacher for 2023-2024 school year. Candidates who could start immediately would also be welcome. Qualified candidates will possess at least 3-5 years of experience in classroom teaching and a Bachelor's degree in a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Experience with the Teachers College Reading and Writing Workshop program is beneficial. This position also serves as an eighth-grade advisor to a group of 8-10 students. The school seeks growth-minded candidates who are skilled, creative, innovative, and adept at employing technology in the classroom. Effective writing and speaking skills, a good sense of humor, a positive outlook, and an appreciation of the unique qualities of the age group are essential.
