Celebrating our 50th anniversary in 2022-23, Trinity Episcopal School is a coed, independent, IB World School serving 500 students in grades 8 through 12 on a 40-acre campus near the James River on Richmond’s Southside. Trinity, an International Baccalaureate World School, challenges its students to discover their paths, develop their talents and strengthen their character within a dynamic academic community. The college-preparatory academic program features innovative electives, a rigorous curriculum and opportunities for creative expression. Trinity also fields more than 36 teams for athletic participation. The school occupies a unique niche in the greater Richmond area, where it draws students from more than 80 feeder schools across 40 zip codes. The campus includes 32 classrooms, student commons, library and technology center. The Perkinson Arts Center includes a band room, digital music lab, recording studio and a spectacular collaborative space for ceramic artists, painters and sculptors. A newly renovated theatre comfortably seats all 500 students for musical and dramatic performances. It is the heart of our community, where all students gather each day for Morning Meeting. Students are supported through a 1:1 Apple laptop program, classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity is available campus-wide. The Powell Library includes comfortable collaborative learning spaces and a cutting edge online research tool on par with many colleges and universities. The Innovation Lab contains two 3D printers and equipment for robotics, circuitry, 3D modeling, coding and machining. The 50,000-square-foot Estes Athletic Center features two gyms, a strength and fitness center, multiple locker rooms and team meeting rooms, school store, concession stand and alumni rooms for meetings and social events. Aycock Stadium, the home of Trinity's football, field hockey and lacrosse teams includes a state-of-the-art all-weather turf playing surface, made with renewable, organic all-wood infill. Trinity is committed to an inclusive community that reflects the socioeconomic diversity of the greater Richmond area. More than 30% of families receive income-based tuition assistance each year in the form of financial grants.
