Norfolk Collegiate School is seeking qualified candidates for Head Sailing Coach. The school’s mission driven sailing program has a long, tradition of excellence recognized at the regional, state, and national level with many alumni sailing at the intercollegiate level and beyond.
Leading and developing student-athletes while fostering a passion for sailing is key to the program’s success. This position reports to the Director of Athletics and oversees the school’s sailing program for grades 6-12, supervises coaching staff, coordinates team logistics and engages with community partners. Candidates who are qualified and interested in serving in other capacities at the school (staff member, classroom teacher, etc.) are preferred.
Salary is commensurate with experience and any agreed upon additional school responsibilities. Our school is comprised of nearly 600 students and 100 faculty and staff on two campuses nearly three miles apart and within 10 minutes of downtown Norfolk. The middle (Grades 6-8) and upper school (Grades 9-12) are located on Granby Street. The lower school (pre-K-Grade 5) is located on Tidewater Drive.
