Norfolk Collegiate is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time middle school and upper school strings teaching position for the academic year 2023-2024. The teaching responsibilities for this position take place during our morning arts bell, from 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m., four mornings each week. This position will include teaching one section of strings in our middle school program two mornings each week, and one section of strings in our upper school program two mornings each week. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred. Ideal candidates will have teaching experience in a middle school and upper school setting and a commitment to interdisciplinary approaches to learning. We seek teachers who are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about teaching middle and upper school students. Candidates should have a demonstrated interest in working with students from a variety of backgrounds who possess a range of abilities and learning styles. This position requires collaborative work with others; therefore, this individual must be able to work effectively with colleagues and parents.
