St. Anne’s-Belfield School seeks a full-time Kindergarten- grade 8 Visual Arts teacher beginning in the 2023-24 school year. The Visual Arts teacher will design, plan, and implement an art curriculum primarily in K-4 that provides students with opportunities to build skills in various genres of visual art and empowers students to express themselves authentically and creatively. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, engaging, culturally- responsive with a student-centered approach, and excited to nurture in students the habits, mindsets, and technical skills of the art studio. This teacher will be a member of our co-curricular team and the K-8 Arts Department and will collaborate with those teams to plan and facilitate cross-curricular and interdisciplinary learning opportunities. Additionally the visual arts teacher will oversee a ceramics studio and will be responsible for displaying student art throughout the building.

Full-time classroom teaching experience, strong organizational and classroom management skills, and the ability to joyfully teach lower school children are required. A master’s degree in visual arts or a certification in elementary visual arts education is preferred.
