Collegiate School seeks a Development Assistant to work in the School’s Development Office. The primary responsibility of the Development Assistant is to manage all aspects of gift processing and receipting and ensure and maintain accurate management of donor records. Timeliness, accuracy and a high attention to detail is a must. This position also supports the Chief Development Officer. This is a full-time 12-month position.
General Responsibilities include:
- Manages all aspects of gift processing and receipting and ensures integrity of Raiser’s Edge database (75%)
- On a daily basis, prepares constituent records for gift entry.
- On a daily basis, enters gifts into Raiser’s Edge fundraising database and reconcile batch.
- On a daily basis, processes receipts and gift acknowledgments. Sends Head of School information for gifts of a designated threshold and above (or gifts that meet other criteria).
- Oversees memorial and honorary gifts and serve as primary point of contact for these families.
- Serves as point of contact for matching gifts and stock gifts.
- Responds to requests from the Collegiate community and provides timely follow through
- Assists in all department mail-related efforts: provide donor lists for invitations, major gift activities and the annual fund
- Attends and assists with departmental special events as needed
- Responsible for day to day maintenance of constituent records, in Raiser’s Edge and PawNet, including address and contact updates, deaths, marriages, births, bad addresses, etc.
- In coordination with Director, Development Operations, enters new families into Raiser’s Edge in Spring and flip the database in the summer (new and departing faculty/staff; new and past parents/grandparents; graduate/withdraw students; code Trustees, Alumni Board, etc.)
- Assists with mailing and other list requests
- Assists with aspects of donor and parent stewardship needs
- Oversees all aspects of Collegiate School directory
- Provide general administrative support to VP, Development (25%)
- Answers general development office phone and greets development office visitors
- Involvement in School sponsored activities
- Ability to run accurate reports, lists, and queries in Raiser’s Edge to support development activity

- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 3 years development experience
- High level attention to detail
