About St. Margarets School
St. Margaret’s School is an Episcopal girls’ boarding school, grades 8 -12, with 121 students, 80% boarding/20% day, from 17 states and 15 countries. “As we grow in age, may we grow in grace.” St. Margaret’s motto reflects our commitment to the growth of young women in every area of their lives. We offer a diverse student body a sound college-preparatory curriculum, challenging to each individual. In a Christian environment, founded on the Episcopal tradition, both honor and character are developed. St. Margaret’s seeks to inspire each student to make the best of herself, and in so doing, make a better world.
St. Margaret’s historic campus is located in Tappahannock, Virginia, on the banks of the beautiful Rappahannock River in Essex County. St. Margaret’s is approximately one hour from Richmond and Fredericksburg and two hours from Washington, DC.
