Trinity is seeking a Program Head/Head Coach for our Varsity Girls Basketball team, beginning in the 2017-2018 school year. The candidate will lead and perform all duties related to the operation of the Girls Basketball Program. These tasks will include the following:
Encourages inclusive community building within Trinity Episcopal School
Plans practices, provides instruction in all phases of the game of basketball
Works in collaboration with the Boys Basketball Program Head on gym time needs and weekly practice rotations
Heads in-game management of the team
Works with student athletes to improve personal and teamwork skills
Provides guidance and encouragement to help students receive personal gain from their participation
Promotes a favorable image of Trinity Episcopal School
Works with the Athletic Director to evaluate program needs
Promotes the proper use and care of school property
Communicates effectively with the team, staff, parents, administration, community and the media
Completes all necessary forms, including RTD previews, VISAA State inquiries and Maxpreps updates
Organizes and maintains proper records, including team statistics and information pertinent to the promotion of recruitable athletes
Contacts and communicates with college coaches when necessary
Manages assistant coaches, and promotes program cohesiveness with Junior Varsity teams
Maintains an acceptable attendance record and is punctual
Travels with the team on mini-buses and charter buses to away games; available to drive a minibus upon request
Is knowledgeable of, monitors and maintains compliance of applicable health and safety practices including concussion protocol
Organizes appropriate and applicable off season activities: open gyms, summer and fall leagues, team camps and team workouts
Works closely with the Strength and Conditioning Coach both in season and off season/summer
Attends all coaches meetings required by Trinity Episcopal School
