The Director of Athletics is a member of the senior leadership team, overseeing the strategic vision and operational details of all aspects of the Upper and Middle School Athletic Programs. The Director of Athletics embraces the vision, mission, core values of the school and the portrait of the Flint Hill student. The Director of Athletics will report to The Director of Significant and Special Programs.
Responsibilities and Duties
Hire, manage, evaluate and mentor the Athletic Department, including the Director of Middle School Athletics, Director of Sports Information, Director of Athletic Operations, Athletic Trainers, and all athletic coaches, Grades 7-12.
Identify opportunities for professional development for all members of the Athletic Department and all coaches.
Promote the values set forth in “The Flint Hill Way,” consistently holding athletes coaches and parents to these standards of accountability.
Evaluate the quality and success of individual programs on an annual basis, always with an eye toward identifying opportunities for improvement.
Plan and manage athletic budget.
Represent Flint Hill at League and State Conference meetings
Establish ISL and MAC game schedules for each sport and season, arrange officials, transportation.
Establish relationships with student-athletes and mentor their development through high school and possibly on to college.
